15 AIR PURIFIER PLANTS INDOOR

1. An Orchid (Dendrobium and Phaeleonopsis) 

An orchid is an easy plant to grow. 

So no need to always be watered frequently and should not be exposed to the sun. 

Orchids can serve to clean the air of xylene, pollutants that are found in the glue material and paint materials. 

Suitable for those who have recently moved house or a newly renovated room. 

Different from other plants that release oxygen during the day and at the time of carbon dioxide in the evening time, orchids release oxygen in the daytime and at night time, so that they can live in the bedroom, for air circulation at a time when sleeping. 


2. Palm (Palmae/Arecaceae) 

Palm family of plants that are also known as Arecaceae or Palmae, is very popular and very easy to see.

3. Spathiphyllum or Peace LilyPeace lily or Spathiphyllum 

Thrives in temperatures below 27 degrees Celsius, nice plants to decorate the room, but also can be used as an outdoor plant. 

Can grow and bloom best when placing it in direct sunlight to function eliminates harmful toxins such as acetone, ammonia, benzene, ethyl acetate, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, methyl, alcohol and xylene. 
  

4. Tree Fern

8. Betel Plant (Pothos)

This plant can survive in low light and cold temperatures and is great for the office and home as effectively get rid of carbon monoxide and formaldehyde in the air. 



9. Andong (Cordyline fruticosa)

10. Philodendrons

11. Chinese evergreen ( Aglaonema modestum ) 

Aglaonema is a genus of about 40 species of deciduous plants in the
family Araceae, native to the tropical swamps and forests of Southeast Asia and southern China. 

No common name is widely used, although they are sometimes called "Chinese Evergreens".

Please note: The sap of this plant is toxic to health and can cause skin irritation. 

If swallowed, irritating sap mouth, lips, throat and tongue. Chinese evergreens ornamental plants for offices and shopping centers because they are the easiest to grow. 

This plant should not be considered frequent and relatively resistant to pests. Evergreen Chinese removes benzene and formaldehyde.

 

12. English ivy (Hedera helix)
If you live where the air was dusty and arid, English ivy (Hedera helix) is a plant that is effective to cure allergies or asthma

This plant is ideal for pet owners, because of the efficient filtering of formaldehyde aerosols and dirt particles from the air.  

Be careful !.. This plant is very poisonous. Treatment plants: there should be no direct sunlight and water. 



13. Mother Tongue -in-law (other in law / Sansevieria trifasciata)

NASA research for 25 years, revealed that Sansevieria has an excellent ability to absorb 107 known air pollutants including carbon monoxide and nitrogen monoxide. 

Another study by Wolverton Environmental Services is engaged in finding that the plant can absorb formaldehyde, chloroform, benzene, xylene and trichloroethylene.  


Sansevieria also have CAM metabolism (crassulacean acid metabolism), releasing oxygen into the air at night

So it is good to plant in a place in a bedroom. So if you buy new furniture with a strong adhesive smell, or you 're painting a wall, or your room constantly smells rotten, 2 pots Sansevieria adults may be able to free you from unwanted odors. 

Plants are low maintenance, easy to grow and will last under various conditions. Give water every 3 days to keep the leaves from wilting. Excessive watering will cause them to rot.


14. Pot mum ( Chrysanthemum morifolium )

These plants should not be watered often, but desperately need a lot of sunlight. 

Keep them away from the lighting will disrupt the flowering cycle. This plant is revered by generations of Chinese people drink tea at the time. 

To prepare the tea, dried flowers should be allowed to stand in hot water for about 5 minutes.  
After a pale yellow color, it will have a floral aroma and strong flavor. This can help to relieve headaches, treatment of colds, fever and flu. 

This plant is native to Asia and northeastern Europe. Commonly referred to as Pot Florist Chrysanthemum or Mum. This plant removes benzene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene.



15. Spider plants 

Botanical name: Chlorophytum comosum 
Benefits: NASA put this plant among the top 3 major types of ornamental plants in removing formaldehyde. 

It also removes carbon monoxide and other toxins or impurities. 
Note: Likes bright, indirect light and plenty of water when growing.  


A beautiful houseplant with long grass leaves, spider plant also grows rapidly. 

This elegant plant is great for removing toxic gases and other pollutants such as formaldehyde and xylene. 

For better effect should be stored in the kitchen or near the fireplace, because this is a place where a lot of carbon monoxide accumulates.
